Basic cooking/nutrition ideas

Over time, it is so easy to fall into a routine and repeat the same meals over and over. It is said that the average family has around 10 dishes that are regularly consumed. We are here to spice things up a bit! Some of the recipes you will find here are our own recipes or versions of well known dishes, so there might not be exact measurements, rather a recipe that you can hear from your grandma or a neighbour (you know, add a bit of this, or a few of that and a handful of this one also…) but in general the secret ingredient is… have fun making it!

Quick tips

Simplify

If you don't have time, simplify recipes by adjusting amounts, methods and ingredients depending on time, so you don't end up exhausted and kids frustrated by the end of your cooking.

Little helpers

Get your kids involved in cooking as much as you can! They will eat better, learn a tone of skills and it is a great bonding experience!

Relax

Relax while eating, put your phone down and make it family time. Kids will copy your habits so try to eat slowly, show them how you enjoy textures and foods and (within your own limits of acceptable mess) let them explore.
