Understanding unmet needs

I love the idea of connecting anger with unmet needs. According to Bryce Reddy, author of the brilliant page The Mom Brain Therapist, many women share the frustration of not being able to take care of themselves. This can take many forms, from activities – work out, crafting, meeting friends, resting – to more abstract and complex needs, such as the need for accomplishment, to feel seen and appreciated, to be mentally stimulated. Especially during the newborn phase, these neglected needs can be a big challenge for new moms. It is really important, at least to aknowledge this, in order to understand, and manage, your feelings.
