Attachment theory is one of the most known and valid theories on emotional development. It explains the importance of the relationship between the child and the main caregiver (in this infographic they say mother). Here we present some basic info on attachment styles. The main take is that according to the main caregiver’s way of behaving and interacting with the child, he or she will develop a certain “attachment style”, which can fall into four main categories: secure, avoidant, ambivalent and disorganized.
