I put on a jacket by myself!

There are plenty of ways to help our children feel confident and “in charge”. This is particularly important for toddler, as they grow they will want to do things by themselves more and more. The video above is just a little tip that fosters independence concerning their bodies and wearing clothes. Give it a go, and let us know your thoughts!

I tried it with my son when he was around 18 months old, with no success. I didn’t insist, and tried again few weeks later. Now he is 22 months old, and sometimes he likes to do it, sometimes he doesn’t. No problem! What matters is giving them an age-appropriate tool, they will decide when they are ready to use it.
